Esperance to Kalgoorlie-Boulder (Friday 11th June 2010)

Travel day.
Esperance to Kalgoorlie - Boulder 390km.
On the road 10.30am. Left Esperance and headed north for Norseman. Dry countryside passed us by with the occasional iron ore train appearing from nowhere in amongst the Salmon Gums. Arrived at Norseman 1pm. Walking down the main street all you saw were shops that had closed down and were boarded up. It was like a ghost town. We ate our lunch and after taking mandatory photo's of camels and 'Norseman the Horse', which the town was named after we happily waved goodbye to Norseman. Drove past the Eyre Hwy which is the start of the Nullarbor, on our way out of Norseman. Arrived at Boulder 4.30pm. Set up camp. Gorgeous sunny day.
