We were flooded again last night. The water was not falling from the sky this time. We had pegged through a sprinkler system pipe but didn't know until last night (our 2nd night here) because the sprinkler system only comes on every second night. At 2am Pete and I wake up to gurgling noises outside our tent. Pete unzips the tent door only to find water lapping at the door.
What do you know we're flooded again! We realised straight away we couldn't stay and needed to move quickly. The water bubbling out of the hole was not slowing down. So, at 2am in the morning, after alerting the park staff we loaded the girls into the car while we squelched around our campsite and packed everything up. We relocated to another site and by 3.30am were back in our beds. Never a dull moment, even in the middle of the night!
After last night's events all we could bring ourselves to do was catch a bus into Perth, around lunchtime, and have a look around town. Perth's a pretty place. We enjoyed the day taking in the sights. We found a great coffee place called 'Boceli'. It was soooo good.
Lets hope tonight is an event free night.
