Perth - Fremantle (Tuesday 25th May 2010)

Drove into Fremantle this morning and immediately loved the old world charm of this place. Beautiful old buildings everywhere with history oozing out of them. We had a 'pocket guide to Fremantle' with all the info about the buildings and sights to see. Pete took the job on of guiding us around town. He did great job. It was entertaining. The Fremantle Railway Station facade was beautiful. Of course, we stopped at South Terrace known as the cappuccino strip and had a coffee at Dome.
The Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour was the spot for all the America's Cup activity. We stopped and had fish and chips at Cicerello's overlooking the harbour in glorious sunshine.
Too nice!
At the Round House, an old civil gaol we would have loved to have left the girls in the stocks and pillories but they had been good and there was more to see so we released them.
And finally, The Western Australian Maritime Museum (lots of other stops along the way, but I won't mention them all), AUSTRALIA II.
