Boy it was cold overnight!
Today we did "The Karri Forest Explorer Drive". The drive takes you past all the must see spot's. First we drove to Gloucester National Park where Pete CLIMBED the 61m high Gloucester Tree Lookout. It was a BLOODY BIG TREE and he was mad climbing it. It's a death wish I tell you!
After driving through the Karri forest's and feeling like an ant we were hungry! So we went off the beaten track and headed for a town called Manjimup for lunch.
We then drove to Big Brook and Beedelup National Park to see the falls and came across some extra friendly wildlife who insisted on sharing our morning tea. We continued our drive through gorgeous countryside and into the Warren National Park. This is the home of the Bicentennial Tree. It's another 'Lookout Tree' and is 75 metre's above the ground, and YES Pete climbed this tree too. I couldn't look up at him I was so scared and the girls were shitty with me because all they wanted to do was climb the bloody tree. I wasn't in good way, let me tell you.
"At the bottom"
"Pete looking down on us at the 25m mark platform"
"At the top of the fire lookout tree"
Anyway, Pete didn't fall out of any tree and the girls weren't annoyed at me anymore by the end of the day because we finished the day by lighting the campfire and toasting marshmallows.
