Alice Springs Northern Territory (Thursday 8th April 2010)
It's raining, it's pouring .......... The Todd River is flowing, much to the excitement of the tourist's and the locals. It's rare to see the Todd flowing, we're told, so we feel lucky. The torrential rain has stopped us from seeing a lot of Alice Springs but we still managed to visit The School Of The Air (the girls chose a book and we donated it to the school to go in their library), The Royal Flying Doctor Service and Adelaide House. Back at camp the girls got to swim in the luxurious swimming pool in between down pours. We spent Saturday afternoon watching 'Where The Wild Things Are' on Pete's laptop as the rain kept falling. A wine in one hand and some chocolate in the other and all was good. We will be hitting the road with no advanced bookings for the remainder of our trip so we'll stop where ever takes our fancy. Devils Marbles near Wycliffe Well is our next sight seeing stop.
