Yulara to Kings Canyon (Tuesday 6th April 2010)
Pack up day today as we're heading off to Kings Canyon Resort. The packing up has been stress free. We are getting better and quicker at it each time. Another hot day 37 degrees. Girls have had their friend Rachel come over for a play while Pete and I packed up camp, then the girls went over to Rachel's while we packed up the camp trailer. Had a gossip session with Rachel's mum Annette about some of the 'interesting folk' near their campsite. Actually, loud, out of control, tantrum throwing kids who's parents are completely oblivious to the noise. And the worst part is that they're traveling to Kings Canyon in the next couple of days too. We were horrified.We stopped at Kings Creek Station for some fuel and a bite to eat before rolling into Kings Canyon Resort about 3.30pm. They don't take bookings here. It's first in best dressed. All you do is fill your details out on a card to hand to them and choose whichever campsite takes your fancy. We chose one with a full view of the Canyon.
