Kings Canyon Resort (Wednesday 7th April 2010)

I woke early to take photo's of the sunrise over Kings Canyon. Once we were all organized we headed off to do the Kings Canyon Walk. It had the most incredible scenery. Half way along the walk we came across The Garden of Eden. A beautiful waterhole you can swim in and that is exactly what Pete and the girls did. In they went fully clothed! It was a welcome sight after some steep climbing in 36 degree heat. We came across lizards and grasshoppers who's colour's were so similar to the colour of the foliage, rocks or dirt around them that we only knew they were there because they moved!. Back at camp we had lunch, then a rest followed by a swim in the pool. Here we found our friends and got chatting only to find out Julie lived in Cheshunt. Boy, it's a small world. The night ended with a few wines under the stars in the cool of the night. Heaven.
PS: Forgot to mention the dingo's. They wander into the campsite looking for food. It's unbelievable to see a dingo wander out of the bush and walk around amongst people just as if it's normal. The toilet blocks have all got gates on them to keep the dingo's out.
