It started at Nitmiluk National Park with the bats in the trees above us keeping us entertained until we were ready to board the boat.
It was nothing short of amazing. We travelled into the first 3 of the 13 gorges. It was a series of short boat rides and short walks in between to get from one boat to another. The crocodile traps along the river were empty but we did see two freshwater crocs on the banks of the river.
We got to swim in two waterholes. The water is so clear you can see everything. They are also really, really deep. I was too chicken but Pete and girls swam right up to and underneath the waterfalls. There is nothing better than swimming in non-chlorinated/salt water.
It was a great morning.
