Sights seen on our 644km trip from Wilpena to Coober Pedy.
(On the road at 7.30am)
- Just out of Wiplena we saw a wedge-tail eagle. It was huge.
- Slowed to walking pace as a massive flock of sheep and baby lambs crossed the road.
- Saw three more emu’s walking around on the side of the road. I’d seen one other emu but nobody believed me until I pointed out these three
- Stopped at Woomera for a quick look around. Amazing memorabilia at museum. A bit eerie driving around town.
- Saw our first petrol-tanker road train
- Stopped and photographed Lake Hart, one of the Salt Lakes along the Stuart Hwy.
- Tumble weeds rolling across the road between Pimba and Glendambo.
